Arab Unity School, one of Dubai’s leading private schools, literally ‘celebrated’ its fourth consecutive year of receiving three ‘Top of the UAE His highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Awards’ in Information and Communication, Design and technology and chemistry.

The Award ceremony was hosted by the school on the 31^st of Mrch 2o11, in the presence of eminent personalities from the Cmabridge International exams. Dr. John Guy, Governor of Oxford Brookes University, a renowned and distinguished leader and mentorin the field of education, was the chief guest. Among others were Mr. William Bickerdike, the region, Mr. Waseem Al Hanbali, Senior Schools Development Manager and Chloe Sykes, Marketing and Communication Manager, CIE. Present on the day was the school’s Managing Director Mr. Taher, Principal, Mrs. Sunita Budhwani, Examination Officer Mr. Shibu Mammen, Heads of Various sections, Supervisors, teachers and students. It was indeed privilege for the Award winners, Janitha Jayamanna for ICT and Design and Technology and Syeda Nausheen for Chmeistry, to receive their Awards from Dr. John Guy.

Dr. John Guy congratulated and commended the achievements of the winners and Mr. Taher, the managing Director thanked Dr. Guy and expressed his deep appreciation to the guests, winner, and faculty members. After a brief photograph session, the learners spoke to the audience expressing their heartfelt gratitude to CIE and Arab Unity School. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thaks by Mr. Shibu Mammen.
